Librarian Community Membership 

Thank you for your interest in participating in FPIN’s Clinical Inquiry project! Clinical Inquiries are manuscripts submitted for publication in The Journal of Family Practice or American Family Physician. CIs are point of care questions asked and answered by practicing family physicians in the FPIN network. For more information, please visit the CI Overview page.

What qualifications do I need to participate?

FPIN prefers that librarians have . . .
-- Two or more years of experience searching electronic databases and Internet resources applicable to FPIN searches, including MEDLINE (use of MeSH vocabulary, publication types, and limits to search strategies).
-- A basic understanding of evidence-based medicine.
-- Experience performing clinically oriented searches for point-of-care questions.
-- A master’s degree in library science.
