|Due Date Extension Policy|
Due Date Extension Policy
Due dates for manuscripts are strictly enforced, and authors are responsible for submitting their manuscript by the assigned due date. Manuscripts that are not submitted by the assigned due date and that have not had an extension granted will lose their place in the editorial queue and may be terminated. If the manuscript is terminated the question will be re-posted to the question bank at which point it will be available for another author team to answer. If your question is taken away due to missed deadlines you will have the opportunity to sign-up for a different question.
Each author team will be allowed ONE four-week "no questions asked" extension during the writing process. If an extension is needed the request must be submitted before the original due date. Subsequent extensions are only granted with approval from the HDA Editor-in-Chief, and these are only to be used in rare and extenuating circumstances.
To request an extension for your manuscript, send a Deadline Extension Email through the EMS. For instructions on how to do this please see the HDA Author Instructions.
If you choose to submit your manuscript ahead of the assigned due date it will not necessarily move ahead of others in the editorial queue.
These policies are in place to ensure adherence to professional standards and to make sure these important clinical questions are being answered and disseminated to the FPIN community in a timely manner. Please stay in communication with FPIN at all times so we can assist you in meeting your deadlines in a timely manner. Please direct any and all questions to email@example.com or call 573-256-2066.
