What does Paige do for FPIN?

I am FPIN’s Writing Project Managing Editor. In this role I oversee the processes and workflows for FPIN's writing projects. I ensure our writing projects are managed efficiently, our members have a wonderful experience writing their manuscript, and that the resources available meet learners’ needs. If you have a question about any of the writing projects, I am your go to person!

Additionally, I serve as an editor in a few of the writing projects. I am the MET Reviewer in the HelpDesk Answers project where I ensure manuscripts meet technical and quality standards for a more seamless editorial review process. In the GEMs writing project, I serve as a GEMs Deputy Editor and as the GEMs Deputy Editor trainer. I work with Local Editors and Deputy Editors to improve their editorial skills and ensure the GEMs accurately summarize a critical appraisal of the research study.

Background

I started at FPIN in 2019 as an administrative intern and never left! I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2020 and joined FPIN full-time. I have had several different job titles during my time with FPIN. I have grown in my project management skills and have found that I enjoy creating and optimizing processes. I received my undergraduate degree in Public Health and have a particular interest in the intersection of public health and primary care.

Hobbies

I love to try on different hobbies, and I have a whole “hobby closet” to show for it! I enjoy gardening, baking, crocheting, sculpting, drawing…and the list goes on and on. I have been an avid reader my entire life and am usually listening to an audiobook while working on one of my other hobbies.

Unique Skills

Armed with an attitude of “how hard can it be?”, I can figure out how to do almost anything. Whether it be something that needs to be fixed on the car or around the house, give me half a day and I will learn how to do it and get it done.

Fun Facts

My fiancée and I are big animal lovers and have several pets. We currently have three dogs, two cats, and two bunnies!

What do you love most about FPIN?

I started as an intern at FPIN in 2019 and quickly grew to love the organization. The FPIN staff has created an amazing work culture fostering development and emphasizing the importance of education. I value the physicians who work with FPIN and the dedication and passion they have for educating others on the importance of research in primary care.

Favorite Netflix series or movie and why?

My favorite Netflix series is either New Girl or Community. Every episode of both of these shows always makes me laugh.
